About The Role:

Do you have a passion for supporting Dorset's communities?


As a Community Engagement Project Officer, you'll be involved in a whole number of community based projects, working with a team who support many of Dorset Council's proactive and reactive community based support initiatives from cost of living support, liaison with Town and Parish councils, development of place based working communities strategy, appreciation for the diversity of our communities.

This role will be working closely in community organisations that support food security projects such as foodbanks, social supermarkets and community fridges.

- experience in community engagement
- experience in community based project delivery
- confidence and experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- excellent interpersonal skills, including motivation, negotiation, persuasion, diplomacy and reassurance


Further Information:

Interviews will take place throughout the day on Tuesday 21st May at County Hall, Dorchester

This is a full time role at 37 hours per week.

You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.


This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.
