Job Scope:


As an Assurance Officer, you will provide day to day administration of tasks to assist the Assurance/Compliance department in maintaining compliance with aviation regulatory standards.

You will be working within a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiencies to meet the business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Safeguarding_

  • To work in conjunction with MATE & Safeguarding Manager to support all aspects of safeguarding (inc. aerodrome obstacles, windfarm assessments, cranes, technical safeguarding) and maintain an effective database that logs all such activity and requests.
  • Utilise the use of Aerodrome Safeguarding software tool.
  • Build rapport and liaise with Local Planning Authorities.
  • Support in administration and upkeep of Aerodrome AIP review and maintain an effective database that logs all requests.
  • Support in the administration of the annual Aerodrome Survey with the Safeguarding Manager.

Safety Management_

  • Perform role as Assurance department document controller to include updating and issuing of compliance related forms and department instructions.
  • To work in conjunction with Assurance Manager supporting all aspects of the Aerodrome Compliance Monitoring System and maintain an effective database that logs all audit reports.
  • Manage the issuing of Airport Safety Notice (ASN) system by preparing and issuing notices and updating key contacts.
  • Record, monitor and manage the department data recording.
  • Prepare the Assurance department monthly report as necessary.
  • Support the Assurance department Impact Assessment process.
  • Update Redkite recording system and provide training reports as necessary.
  • Provide administrative assistance in terms of minute taking, training presentations, monthly reporting.
  • Support the Assurance Manager sin all aspects of Airport Safety Surveys.
  • Attend and provide input at relevant internal safety committees / operational meetings.

Manuals / Plans_

  • Support in coordination of amendments and development of key operational Manuals and policy documents e.g., Aerodrome Manual / Contingency Plans.
  • Support in the development of Special Event Plans and associated documents.
  • Act as document controller for the key operational safety policy documents produced by the department.

Emergency Planning/ Contingency Planning_

  • Be responsible for supporting in all aspects of incident management.
  • Provide support to Assurance Manager at emergency planning exercises before, during and after the event.
  • Support in the logging of evidential evidence for emergency planning exercises in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support in development of necessary training packages and plans as necessary.
  • Provide necessary administrative support on the production of the documents produced by the department to assist during an event.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Administration qualifications would be desirable.
  • Experience in a Compliance environment would be desirable.
