The Role
- Running payroll end to end for your portfolio of clients using Merit payroll software
- Import client payrolls, reconciliation of data and raising then sending invoices
- Preparing payment batches
- Sending out Net pay SMS to workers
- Processing adjustments for workers at clients' requests
Queries
- Dealing with payroll queries from operatives on the phone
- Managing a busy inbox
- Liaising with clients to ensure smooth running payrolls
- Escalate queries to Payroll Manager when necessary
- Sending payroll documents (Payslips, P45s, CIS Statements etc.)
Adhoc
- Checking post inbox & distributing to the team.
- Assisting Accounts & Compliance departments where tasks overlap
- Learning then continuously expanding knowledge of HMRC & CIS legislation
