    Software Technical Specialist

    This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Software Technical Specialist to play a key role in supporting the Test Equipment (TE) and Centre of Excellence (CofEx) Software teams in delivering cutting-edge complex missile systems and sub-component Test solutions.

    Job Details

    • Salary:£65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
    • Location: Stevenage (with potential relocation package available)
    • Working Hours: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
    • Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship required

    The Opportunity

    In this role, working closely with the UK Test Equipment (TE) team and collaborating with the French Centre of Excellence (CofEx) team, you will:

    • Provide overarching support and assistance for software project work, resolving complex issues.
    • Work across multiple teams and stakeholders within MBDA to ensure seamless integration of test software and hardware capabilities for products from concept to production.
    • Support all aspects of software project development and maintenance lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of departmental, customer requirements and deadlines are met.
    • Promote and implement change when opportunities arise in software development, both within test software and the wider software community.
    • Engage with software, test equipment, and project components/systems in an office/lab environment.

    Requirements

    • Previous extensive software engineering experience in supporting/test solutions for Development and Manufacturing purposes.
    • Proven expertise in C, C++, Ada programming languages.
    • Demonstrated track record of solving complex software and hardware integration-related problems.
    • Familiarity with Change, Configuration, and Release Management practices.
    • Practical hands-on experience with software installations, measurement equipment, software drivers, etc.
    • Strong understanding of creating high-quality software and ability to support quality practices.
