Company Name:
Colten Care

Job Description:

This is a truly exciting time to be part of the Simplyhealth journey, a time when we can really help people across the UK get access to the healthcare they need.

Alongside this, Simplyhealth is going through a period of change from a functional structure to one that is product-led, putting our customers and their needs at the heart of all decisions.

The Head of Compliance is a key leadership role in helping us to manage this transformation effectively setting the organisation up for future success.

Reporting to our Chief Risk Officer, you'll lead a team of four, providing both Compliance Advice to the business in response to new and emerging regulation, the development of new products and services and the maintenance of the current product suite and delivering a programme of Compliance Monitoring activities to ensure effective compliance of high-risk areas.

You'll be a partner for the business, providing advice and challenge 'in-flow' to support the dynamic needs of the business as we balance new product development and product maintenance; ensuring we continue to deliver good outcomes and fair value to our customers.

You will also take on a leadership role to more effectively use our data to ensure good outcomes for our customers.

You'll be a key member of the Assurance leadership team helping to shape the function for the future.

Key responsibilities

  • Leadership of the compliance function including prioritisation and delivery of key activities; compliance advice, compliance monitoring and horizon scanning.
  • Leading the provision of professional regulatory advice across the Group including to the Board, Executive Committee, and wider leadership team. Working closely with Product, Sales and Service Directors to ensure compliance requirements are effectively considered within decision making.
  • Oversight of the Group's compliance with Financial Services regulatory requirements, including the delivery of the riskbased compliance monitoring plan, compliance policies and methodologies ensuring the Group remains within risk appetite.
  • Leading the delivery and development of regulatory training for the Group
  • Representing the Compliance function, and wider Assurance function, at Board and Executive committees
  • In conjunction with business teams provide assurance to the Simplyhealth Board that Simplyhealth is compliant with relevant regulations, including training, development and support across all three lines.

We're interested in what you do and how you do things, not when and where you do them. Our

'smart working' approach gives you the best of all worlds - working from home, in our modern offices in Hampshire or on the move. This means depending on your role, there will be opportunities to flex when and where you spend your time to perform at your very best.
**For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more. You might know it as flexible or hybrid working, for us it's just another day living our best lives
