1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Monday and Tuesdays, fixed term contract until beginning of July 2023 (with potential to extend after that time)

Starting as soon as possible

£12.57 per hour

Would you like to join a small, yet dedicated team committed to providing a first class provision at Monkton Prep? We are looking for an experienced 1:1 Assistant with a good knowledge of special educational needs who is highly computer literate with the ability to promote self-esteem and independence.

The hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm Mondays and Tuesday to assist in providing a more effective teaching programme for a named pupil in the lower years of the school, with the support of the Special Needs Co-ordinator, the class teacher and the school as a whole.

Responsibilities:

To assist the Class Teacher to deliver the curriculum to children who have an individual target outcome plan (TOP)
To assist in the formulation and implementation of individual plans as directed by the SENCO in line with school policy
To work on individual programmes with the child under the direction and guidance of the class teacher and the SENCO
To provide the teacher and SENCO with detailed feedback on the child's progress to inform the next stage of planning
To support the teacher in the implementation of the rules and policies of the school
To attend TOPs review meetings
To assist in the compilation of reports and records in accordance with school policy
To participate in school activities and attend staff meetings and training courses as required
