Salary:
Up to £37,500 depending on experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Carrying out transactional Procurement of Direct project material and services to ensure timely availability for INS+EM Programmes
  • Using our ERP (SAP) system, source, negotiate, transact purchase orders and manage process queries ie. invoices, quality queries
  • Implementing and working in accordance with Procurement Policy, Process and Procedure within the Project
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations
  • Leading effective communications and employee engagement, to foster a culture of openness, feedback, twoway dialogue and honesty to ensure people are aware and engaged in their delivery contribution
  • Ensuring learning, knowledge and experience are shared to promote an integrated team approach and enable a more effective and efficient operation
  • Providing regular progress reports against deliverables and ensure appropriate support to supplier performance reviews

  • Developing supplier relationships to gain the maximum benefit and efficiencies in those interactions with key suppliers to deliver against business objectives

Your skills and experiences:


  • Hold a CIPS qualification (or equivalent) or working towards (or willing to) MCIPS
  • Good knowledge of ERP Systems (I.e., SAP) and IT skills (MS office)
  • Solid professional knowledge and understanding of procurement principles and best practices
  • Understand the impact and implications of decisions made to business stakeholders & suppliers

The Supply Chain team:


You will be part of a team responsible for procuring materials and services as required for International Navy Through life Support activities including Upkeeps, Upgrades, Modifications, Repairs and Overhauls for both Combat and Platform Systems.
