Salary:
Up to £86,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
- Work closely with the Head of Project Controls and Planning and the Head of Planning Enablement Integration to establish, implement and maintain a transformative agreed process for integrated planning at all levels, delivering across all Programmes
- Provide effective leadership and stakeholder management with Programme Directors and teams to ensure successful implementation of suitable planning methodologies to enable delivery
- Ensure that all planning duties are conducted by SQEP individuals in accordance with competence frameworks
- Ensure that planning governance and review arrangements are applied in line with Corporate requirements
- Provide independent evaluation of performance and reporting across Naval Ships
- Specific functional accountabilities pertaining to the disciplines, tools, techniques, capability, resourcing and governance associated with the function
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Expert level understanding of a range of planning and project controls tools, techniques and practices (ideally Primavera P6)
- Extensive understanding of complex/high value projects/programmes
- Extensive, expert level knowledge and experience of planning and project controls governance and assurance processes
- Extensive understanding of the structure, organisation, processes and culture of the business
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across all levels of the business
Desirable:
- Experience in a delivery environment
- Previous membership in a leadership role
- Functional leadership of a sizeable cross business team
- Hold APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualification
