SEN Learning Support Assistant (with personal care)

ASAP

£85-£105 per day
We are currently looking for an experienced SEN learning support assistant for a secondary school. The role will be full time, long term and will be to start asap. You will be supporting students with learning difficulties.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting students who have learning difficulties

- working proactively to help students achieve their attainment levels
- encourage students to engage proactively with their learning
- helping to provide a safe environment for children to learn.
- assisting the teacher with students general learning and development.

You will be:

Knowledgeable and experienced in special needs and learning difficulties
A strong communicator, able to build a rapport with young people
Patient and empathetic
Comfortable with personal care
Reliable and committed to the school and students' improvement
Enthusiastic and engaging
Able to work alongside the teacher and independently
Certifications and attendance to training courses for SEN are beneficial, as well as first hand experience with SEN.

We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
