Data Governance Manager

From £ 400 - £ 500 p/d - inside IR35

Hybrid - multiple locations

9-Month Contract
We are seeking a Data Quality Manager for our government client. The location is hybrid, based between approx. 2 days a week on-site and the remainder working remotely. Office locations include Leeds, Sheffield or Newcastle, as preferred.


This role is inside IR3- Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.


Role Profile/Responsibilities:


  • Manage the compliance programme for data protection
  • Review, support and advise on data protection impact assessments
  • Develop new and improve strategies that focus on privacy and regulatory standards
  • Monitoring compliance with data protection legislation, including the assignment of responsibilities, awarenessraising including overseeing departmental training of staff involved in processing operations through appropriate departmental mechanisms
  • Contributing to a planned programme of riskbased audits to test compliance
  • Professional experience and knowledge of national DPA law including expertise in European data protection laws and practices
  • Collaboration and stakeholder / relationshipbuilding skills
  • Time management/planning and organising
  • Confident decision making
  • Knowledge of GDPR
