The Governors are seeking to appoint an Assistant Site Supervisor who under the guidance of the Site Supervisor & Headteacher, will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of duties.

This is a part time, permanent post, 25 hours per week, full year. This will involve working split shifts - mornings and afternoons. Main responsibilities will include cleaning, maintenance of the building and some grounds maintenance.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification in caretaking, or equivalent.
  • English and Maths qualification to the equivalent of a GCSE pass.
Essential Experience

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical way
  • Basic numeracy & literacy skills
  • Attention to detail skills
  • Basic DIY/Repair skills
  • Garden maintenance
  • Ability to use powered tools and equipment relevant to the role (e.g. drill, floor buffer)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues Awareness of CoSHH
Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of Recruitment & Selection issues
  • First aid certificate
  • Time management skills
