Workshop Controller - Saltash (Soon to be moving to Plymouth)

Salary:
£38,500 - £43,000 depending on experience.


Working hours:
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Workshop Controller to join our team at our
Saltash site.
We will soon be moving our new site in
Plymouth

What you'll be doing:


  • Dealing with customers bringing in their vehicle for recall, service or repair
  • Providing feedback to customers on their service/repair, including pricing of additional work when required, explaining the reasons fully and competently
  • Day to day running of the workshop
  • Managing all staff within the department, communicating instructions to technicians and ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner
  • Costing jobs ready for invoicing
  • Quality check job cards for audit purposes
  • Signing off service documents

What we need from you:


  • A working technical understanding of vehicles in order to clearly explain repairs/additional repairs to customers
  • Customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations and an ability to upsell our services and products where appropriate
  • Strong IT skills
  • Awareness of warranty guidelines, service intervals, etc
  • Be organised, efficient and able to multitask efficiently
  • Be flexible, energised and a team player
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Manage efficiency, productivity, utilisation
  • Meet all KPI targets set out by depot manager
  • Attend relevant DAF product training courses
