Hen & Dot Cafe is a small business. We are innovative and professional.

We are open Friday - Sunday and some bank holidays. Barista training is preferred but can be provided.

The role may also include helping prep food in the kitchen, a food hygiene certificate is a plus, otherwise training can be provided.

We're searching for a Barista who is passionate about the hospitality industry.

The Barista will be responsible for serving coffee and drinks to customers, as well as assisting with daily cleaning and preparing the coffee shop for business.

Previous experience is not required, but proficiency in both customer service and coffee making is extremely important.

Responsibilities:

Blend and prepare coffee and other beverages to customer specifications.
Serve beverages, food, and dishes to customers.
Maintain a sanitary, clean work environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of food selections and beverage offerings for customers.
Answer customer questions about menu items and promotions.
Learn about other menu items and promotions from the manager or supervisor.
Keep a log book of daily sales in order to maintain inventory levels.
Prepare special coffees by blending various beans and syrups to customer specification.
Prepare specialty coffees such as latte, cappuccino, or mocha by blending beans and syrups to customer specifications.
