MAIN JOB PURPOSE


To ensure that the food and service offered by the Lodge is to the highest standard and equal to that being offered by any respectable hotel or fine restaurant in Aberdeen.

You will be expected to create a positive, supportive, and can-do culture amongst all the staff, and create a positive atmosphere.

You will be an integral part of the lodge operations by maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment and help with ad-hoc food preparation.


KEY DUTIES / OBJECTIVES

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager as required with budget targets, suppliers' cost etc.
  • Training staff to required performance standards for customer care and fire safety.
  • Preparing staff Rota to accommodate events and functions held at Club.
  • Be responsible for Health and Safety within your team and risk Assess front of house work practices within lodge.
  • Supervision of staff and maintaining a high quality of service.
  • Main point of contact for members' complaints and queries.
  • Liaise with the Events Manager and ensure set up of events and functions meet the needs of customers.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef to ensure the food quality and presentation are provided within the club's standards.
  • Ensuring accuracy of till information and banking at the end of each shift.
  • Opening and locking up the lodge as required.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under extreme circumstances and manage multiple workloads.
  • Able to understand hazards related to working in a restaurant and kitchen.
  • Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Team Player and flexible to the changing demands of the business.
  • Flexible approach to role must be available to work different shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Essentials:


  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience of delivering training using company guidelines.
  • Previous track record of catering/hotel employment in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in stock management, cash control and customer service
  • Proven leadership skills to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety.

Desirables:


  • Emergency First Aid at Work.
  • IOSH Managing Safely

Salary:
£11.80 per hour

  • Supervising experience: 1 year (required)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
