We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Therapeutic Radiographers to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre.


Your main task will be as team manager on a treatment machine, however, you will also be involved in staff training and departmental development working in conjunction with the Advanced Practitioners and Principal radiographers.

You will be a very experienced HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer with excellent communication and leadership skills including relevant experience of managing workload and staff on a Linear Accelerator and also equipped with the clinical knowledge of current developments to take a key role in the advancement of radiotherapy services.

To manage a team of staff and provide leadership and guidance to the team and act as a Clinical Radiographer Specialist, working closely with the band 8 Principal Radiographers.

Co-ordinate the clinical workload of the Treatment Unit

To contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9000 quality system for the department.

To lead in the clinical research, audit and development of techniques and equipment.

To ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.

To be pro-active in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and treatment techniques.

To work closely with the Principal Radiographers, doctors, physicists and other members of the team as appropriate.

To participate in the staff training and education programme, which includes training the junior medical staff.

To lead in the training of student radiographers and trainee assistant practitioners

The Radiotherapy Department provides complex treatments including: paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments for patients across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands region.

The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice and participates in multi-centre clinical research trials.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
