Job Summary:

The Hub is responsible for procuring high volume customer requests for goods and services in accordance with appropriate procurement regulations and governance to support the wider authority mission objectives.

The Commercial Hub provides support to other Category Teams as well as managing a commercial pipeline of circa 100 contracts.

The Commercial Hub is a fast-paced dynamic commercial environment providing a diverse range of commercial and procurement support that covers all aspects of the commercial lifecycle.

Recruits are required to have sound working commercial and procurement knowledge and are aware of need to add value and efficiency and have basic contractual awareness that mitigates risk.

This is an important role within a busy team that underpins commercial function.

Responsibilities:

Experience of Public sector procurement would be helpful
Motivated/selfstarters
Good Stakeholder management experience
Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure requirements are met.
Support senior managers to implement strategies that add value and efficiency.
Liaising with suppliers to source goods and services to ensure best value and mitigate commercial risk.
Maintain supplier and customer relations as appropriate.
Analyse quotations, terms and conditions and negotiate.
Conducting due diligence checks on supply chain.
Provide commercial support to other category teams as required. Carry out analysis and evaluations to support competitive procurements.
Support commercial teams with contract management as required.
Liaise with other stakeholder as appropriate (Finance / Legal / Security / Logistics etc)
Demonstrate proactive attitude and behavior's that promote Commercial Hub in positive way.
