Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

1.0 FTE / 35 Hours per week; Grade 4, £22, £24,144.00

Fixed term for one year

Who we're looking for:


Marjon Health & Wellbeing are seeking to recruit a Health & Wellbeing Practitioner who is passionate and knowledgeable about physical activity, wellbeing and promoting healthy lifestyle advice.

You will develop a range of transferrable skills and be joining a professional team, supporting a range of health and wellbeing activities across the University and within the local community.


As part of Marjon Health & Wellbeing you will be working as part of multi-disciplinary team to support adults and young people to lead active, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

The content of our programmes is designed to provide all people enjoyable and educational experiences. These will focus on activities that aim to increase self-determination with subsequent changes in quality of life, self-esteem, self-efficacy.

It is envisaged that engagement in a range of movement and lifestyle related activities through this lens will transfer into sustainable activities of daily living both within the home and school and work environment.

The programmes are theory informed, interactive, and person centred. It will be purposefully flexible and will adapt to meet the needs of the participants.


Our Health & Wellbeing Practitioner will want to:

  • Work with and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Work with adults and young people
  • Use your own initiative and working proactively.
  • Working to your values of humanity, independence, curiosity and ambition: we care about how people behave as well as what they achieve.
