Job requirements:

  • Excellent report writing and communication skills to support with some of the action plans and strategic reports.
  • Experience of working in local authority or public health team and understands the role of Public health within the community and with partner organisations.
  • Use advanced IT skills to support with updating and creating website content.
  • Experienced and skilled with setting up online surveys and evaluation. Understands information governance regulations and aware of sensitive data and confidentiality issues.
  • Collaborative working style and competent negotiation skills to carry out sensitive conversations with partners and providers
  • Support the team with ad hoc and support for meetings including following up on actions, meeting notes, filing and other business tasks.
  • Highly organised with tasks and can hit the ground running, working flexibly and smartly to support Public health team, partner organisations and providers.
  • Deputise for absences or meeting clashes where necessary in meetings and share notes and actions on behalf of the team.
  • Review and write reports, briefing and summaries for the team on an ad hoc basis.
  • Demonstrate experience, understanding and competencies around reducing inequalities and reaching most vulnerable groups and underserved population.
This post will focus on supporting COVID recovery; initial areas of work to include, but not limited to:

  • Child healthy weight action plan monitoring and communications
  • Website resources updates
  • Social prescribing pilot extension
  • Management and monitoring of health improvement contracts (inc. healthy schools, food poverty, oral health, training providers)
