We are recruiting the crucial role of People and Culture Officer within Libraries, Museums and Galleries (LMG).

Working across this busy front facing environment, with staff across 8 sites, and operating services 98 hours a week, you will support a diverse cohort of staff in roles that are wide ranging in responsibility, skill, and specialism.

The role is crucial in enabling LMG¿s responsibility as a beacon department within the University¿s Rare Equality Charter bronze award.

You will coordinate development opportunities for all staff, building positive engagement with programmes of organisational change. You will identify critical skill requirements in a rapidly evolving environment, designing and delivering development initiatives.

You will have skills in coaching and mentoring, supporting HR processes by making early intervention to support staff performance and welfare.

You will have the ability to interpret management information, creating and delivering against action plans that support our Strategic Plan:
Reimagining Libraries, Museums and Galleries.


Reporting to the Deputy Director Libraries, Museums, Galleries you will design and oversee the department¿s annual staff development plan and budget, survey skills gaps, work as part of the LMG HR advisory group, working closely with our HR Business Partner to identify development needs, and support relevant HR processes, including the development and adoption of inclusive recruitment.

You will drive the work of the EDI advisory group, ensuring people and culture initiatives can be supported.

You should have an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and evidence ongoing training and development. Please see the attached Role Description for the full Duties, Responsibilities and Person Specification.
