Reed Engineering a currently working with a well-established niche company who design and build bespoke state of the art automated equipment for various industries, including the automotive sector.

Due to their continued growth, they are looking for an ElectricalTechnician apprentice with the confidence, ability & initiative to become a key part of the assembly team.

The company have a fantastic reputation for looking after their staff and enabling them to reach their full potential.

This will be a varied and challenging role which would ideally suit someone who is looking for the chance to use their engineering interest and abilities within a specialist team and progress their career further.


Role requirements:

  • Good interest in Electrical Engineering
  • Able to read and understand electrical schematic drawings, building the control panels accordingly
  • Previous experience in some electrical engineering activities
  • Understanding of the use of a range of electrical engineering hand tools
  • Attention to detail and able to complete all relevant documentation efficiently and effectively
  • You will be required to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Building and wiring of production machinery Electrical Control Panels
  • The Electrical Technician will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings and build special purpose machinery control panels
  • Machine wiring, cable running, fitting control panels to machines.
  • Assemble & finish equipment according to information supplied as scheduled by the Assembly Lead and Production Manager
  • Identify and resolve issues and provide feedback of any problems to Assembly lead.

Additional information:

  • Salary £18,000 £24,000 dependant on relevant experience
  • Full working apprenticeship where you will gain relevant industry qualifications


  • Working hours: Monday

  • Friday, 08:00am 17:00pm
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
