Lang & Potter is a market leader in the design and manufacture of marine furniture and furnishings.

We work for some of the largest international brands in the marine industry and work hard to research, develop and detail products at the highest level.


Key Responsibilities - General

  • Raising Purchase Orders from requisitions and placing with the supplier
  • Ensure material orders are made on time and meet the production requirement date, working with the Material Planners & Production to expedite late deliveries
  • Price integrity, stock part creation and data control
  • Manage quality issues through the supply chain (Non-Conformance Reports) for key accounts
  • New product introduction
  • Basic knowledge of proforma invoicing
  • Working with Commercial Project Manager
  • RFQ process for all new products supporting in estimating & verifying costs
  • Collate drawings, product samples & information on new products
  • Monitor purchased material costings and report price changes
  • Change management for purchase parts on existing production boat lines
  • Work with the Planning team to ensure that any new materials procured are incorporated into material projection planner for projected annual usages in line with our clients planning schedule
  • Promote team spirit & interdepartment working
  • Any other adhoc duties

Skills Required:

Essential

  • Office administration
  • Strong numeracy & literacy ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Efficient & organised with excellent IT skills, Excel in particular
  • Communication & customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment
Desirable

  • Marine Industry background
  • Purchasing back ground
  • MRP / ERP planning experience
  • Ability to read & understand manufacturing specifications & drawings
  • Basic project management
  • Full UK driving license

Salary:
£21,500-£23,500


Hours of work:
Full time, 39 hr week Monday - Thursday , Friday

Would consider minimum 32 hours per week dependent on applicant

4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
