Description

The Paramedic Research Fellow development role will take a leading role in the development and delivery of research in Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

They will work within the Research and Development team to co-ordinate and support research projects, including their development, design and implementation within the role and in accordance with Trust and Clinical Directorate aims and objectives.

To establish systems, relationships and processes that will allow the achievement of such aims.

It is expected that the post holder will provide expertise and guidance on Research & Development (R&D) projects/activities, as well as lead (or contribute to) research projects, with support from the Lead Paramedic for research.


It is also expected that the role will require significant partnership work with a range of multi-disciplinary, clinical, academic and corporate organisations.


It is the responsibility of each member of staff to ensure that they maintain the confidentiality and security of all information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the principles of Caldicott.


Staff must be aware of and adhere to the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act and to ensure their own safety and the safety of colleagues and patients.

Lead, plan and co-ordinate complex multi-disciplinary activities and research projects/ programmes.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, partners and colleagues, working closely with the Research department and Clinical Directorate.

Write papers for publication in peer-reviewed scientific and academic journals, and present at research conferences.
