RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES LTD is happy to sponsor eligible and appropriately qualified international applicants for this role on the Skilled Worker visa.


Main job roles of the Senior Care Worker:
To professionally lead the care duties like;

Personal Care, medication administration, fulfil nutritional needs, assisting with toileting needs, support and enable service users to maintain their independent living skills for service users in the Residential Care Settings.

Generally assist service users overall comfort and well being. To provide care for the service users according to their assessed needs in the Residential Care Home settings.

  • To support the Home Care Manager.
  • In conjunction with the doctor and other agencies, ensure service users receive the appropriate physical, social and psychological support needed.
  • To provide a keywork system that supports service users in both a formal and an informal manner.
  • To provide a programme of education that will enable service users to make informed choices regarding all aspects of life.
  • To implement policy and carry out duties required in the day to day running of a residential project.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE SENIOR CARE WORKER

  • To provide effective supervision for staff and volunteers as directed by the Home Care Manager.
  • In conjunction with the Home Care Manager, develop, implement and monitor and education and groupwork programme that meets the needs of the resident group.
  • In conjunction with the Home Care Manager, ensure that all service users have detailed care plans and that they are implemented, monitored and evaluated.
  • In conjunction with the Manager, be responsible for initiating and implementing policy, practice and procedure within the Home.
  • In the absence of the Manager, be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of the home.
  • Liaising with families and external bodies on matters relating to service users.
  • Managing client group, drawing up care plans, personal hygiene plans.
  • Supervising, managing and recording events in various statutory dairies.
  • Responding to emergencies and providing guidance and support to care assistants and other care workers
  • Encourage service users to use local community resources and support networks.
  • To maintain up to date client case notes and ensure the Home in house staff team's confidentiality policy is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that all service users weekly care plan are reviewed and maintained.
  • To provide counselling and support for service users through a key work system ensuring respectful and professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times.
  • In conjunction with other members of the team, facilitate a wide variety of support groups and workshops.
  • In conjunction with other members, ensure the Home is a safe, supportive and alcohol/drug free environment
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the service users' physical needs are met.
  • In conjunction with the support workers, ensure service users eat a healthy balanced diet and when necessary help with the preparation and serving of food and ensure that the kitchen is kept clear and tidy.
  • Ensure all service users participate in their domestic activities.
  • Ensure the Home meets The National Minimum Standards requirements at all times.

Other duties are listed below:


  • Accurately record statistical information as required for administrative purposes.
  • Liaise with relevant outside agencies eg. G.Ps, chiropodist etc in the absence of the Home Care Manager.
  • Information and liaise with the Home Care Manager concerning renewal and replacements of equipment/ furnishings/ fittings within the Home.
  • Attend staff meetings, training days and supervision required.
  • Undertake any reasonable requests or duties as may be required by the Manager
  • Carry out supervision and induction of designated staff as required.
  • 12 Be aware of the health and safety of service users.
  • 13 To carry out service evaluation and ensure high standards of care are achieved.
  • To support mental health and wellbeing of the care team.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brent: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)

- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
