Kettering General Hospital Acute Illness Response (AIR) team is an integral part of the Critical Care team, providing a comprehensive service across the hospital site.

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly skilled nurse to join our existing established team in providing high quality and professional services for the 'at risk' patient across all specialities.

You will be responsible for the delivery, organisation and implementation of all Resuscitation Training at all levels to staff groups within the Trust to include BLS/ILS/AIM


You will contribute to the smooth running of the Acute Illness Response Team, offering site wide support with the aim of assisting in the early recognition and management of acutely ill deteriorating patients.


You will be required to supervise the assessment and interventions for the acutely ill patient in hospital supporting wards in the recognition and response to acute illness in adults.

Through audit you will ensure that high standards of patient centred care are maintained whilst acknowledging the cost effective use of resources.

You will practice at an advanced level demonstrating a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making.


You will need exceptional interpersonal, communication and decision making skills, along with stamina and flexibility in order to meet the demands of the role.


As the AIR Team practitioners provide a 24-hour service, the successful applicant must be able to work both night and day shifts.
