Main Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring customers pay within their agreed payment terms.
  • Importing weekly sales invoices.
  • Processing card payment, entering details into Sage and reconciling.
  • Posting bacs payments to the Sales Ledger.
  • Checking customer's credit and approving or denying it, based on industry standards.
  • Auditing customer accounts.
  • Allocation of payments.
  • Setting up new trade customers.
  • Attending weekly meetings with Directors providing updates.
  • Sending copy invoices where required.
  • Scanning sales invoices, renaming, and filing.
  • Chasing customers for payments on deliveries.
  • Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable requests for work as assigned.
  • Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions.

Description:


The Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience include:

  • Experience of using credit hound and Sage 200 advantageous but not essential.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a credit control role.
  • Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail.
  • Be competent using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to listen and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent verbal communications.
