The role
As a RPAS Maintainer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We are creating a new capability, providing remotely piloted aircrafts with mission durations measured in days, not hours.

This new and exciting role will be part of a team delivering a service to our customers providing this unique capability wherever they need it, globally.


Day-to-day, you'll launch, recover and maintain this unique platform and deliver world class unmanned capabilities around the UK and beyond.

Working within the team you will also be a key part of the planning activities working closely with our civil, military and government customers.


  • Carrying out repairs and scheduled servicing to unmanned aerial vehicles to aviation standards
  • Airframe and component preparation/assembly and sensor/payload installation and setup
  • Preparation and repair of wiring harness including avionics and autopilot integration
  • Quality control and bench testing
  • Delivery of key customer missions as well as customer and industry demonstrations
  • Communicate and work with our design engineers to facilitate constant improvements to our capabilities and products


This role is full time and will be based onsite at Ashchurch however, you must be able and willing to travel overseas as the role entails international deployment on a rotational basis.


Essential experience of the RPAS Maintainer

  • Ability to understand instructions to prepare onboard processing and compiling of code
  • Knowledge of common sensors including camera, optical and lens principles
  • Experience with LiDAR, RADAR, SIGINT, COMINT and ELINT
  • Understanding of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) industry
  • Radio communications with Air Traffic Control and other team members
  • Understanding of ISO/quality control principles

Qualifications for the RPAS Maintainer

  • You will hold a degree or Higher National Qualification in a relevant engineering field or provide evidence that you hold relevant experience in an engineering role that is equivalent to these qualifications
