We are looking for a Senior Content Designer to join Virgin Money's Strategic Design function.

As an expert in your field, you will have direct accountability for implementing our digital content standards, developing our brand tone of voice and shapingour digital content strategy.


Working closely with the Content Publishing Team, you will work across multiple cross-bank projects and ensuring our digital content strategy is visible, understood and applied.

We'll ask you to...

  • Lead on complex crossbank content design projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Deliver our digital content standards, tone of voice and be a champion for content strategy best practices
  • Take responsibility for content quality throughout the product development process ensuring content is always on tone and on brand
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to resolve problems and develop future projects
  • Provide mentorship and direction to other content designers
  • Promote the content design discipline by engaging with the crossbank community

There are a few essentials you need to bring...

  • Be able to influence business direction with strategic design thinking
  • An expert at designing for digital services, with a proven track record of success
  • Be a strong leader, both internally within a design team and externally with senior stakeholders
  • Be able to influence and challenge internal functions to ensure that the user experience and customer needs are always at the core of what we deliver
  • Exceptionally wellorganised, and able to establish working practices for a team of people
  • Experience working at a senior level within this area of design

We'd love you to have...

  • Experience of creating and iterating content across multiple digital channels including, but not limited to: user interface copy, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional sales or product servicing content
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management, Design, User Research, Engineering, Commercial and Marketing teams
  • Experience of defining and implementing a brand tone of voice
  • A background in copywriting, UX writing or writing for the web
  • Knowledge of style guides, pattern libraries and content modelling
  • Knowledge of content management system
  • Experience with Agile development process
