Would you like to work with a friendly and dynamic Research Team contributing to the future development of cancer prevention and treatment?

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within our research team as the Research Co-ordinator across our research portfolio but more specifically on a study working with industry which aims to investigate integrin expression on cancer cells.

The Research Coordinator (RC) is a specialized research professional working with and under the direction of the clinical Principal Investigator (PI).

While the Principal Investigator is primarily responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the clinical trial, the RC supports, facilitates clinical trial activities and plays a critical role in the conduct of the study.

By performing these duties, the RC works with the PI, research nurses/practitioners, research team, sponsor Trust to support and provide guidance on the administration of the compliance, feasibility, and other related aspects of the clinical study during set up, maintenance and close out.

The RC is responsible for the coordination of specific clinical trials within their allocated Clinical Research Team.

Working closely with the lead research nurse of each trial, they are responsible for ensuring their allocated clinical trials are set up, managed/maintained and closed out in accordance with regulatory, sponsor and RD&I Office requirements.

Ideally with previous co-ordination and sample collection experience (including the taking of blood samples) having worked within a hospital setting and familiar with medical terminology, you will work within the guidelines and policies for the conduct of clinical trials, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with the principles of GCP.

In addition, you will have excellent communication, administrative and IT skills.
