Senior Operator - Conventional Print

We're seeking a Senior Operator to join the Anstey Wallpaper Company, a renowned player in quality wallcoverings (part of the Sanderson Design Group PLC).

As a Senior Operator, you'll lead the operation of Conventional Print machines, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards. Compliance with health & safety (H&S) protocols is key, alongside supporting the Conventional Print & Finishing Manager to achieve business goals.

With over a century of history, Anstey Wallpaper Company has established itself as a versatile, professional, and top-tier wallcovering printer globally.

We leverage a wide array of printing technologies, both traditional and modern, including Surface & Surflex, Flexographic, Gravure, and more, reflecting our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • **PROCESS OPTIMISATION**
    • Collaborate with the ink team and Designers to achieve optimal print results
    • Ensure efficient job setups and operations
    • Minimize waste through enhanced process controls
    • Support quality standards and customer service levels
    • Ensure accurate shift changeovers
  • **QUALITY**
    • Aid in quality decision-making
    • Accountability for product quality alignment with company standards
    • Support quality monitoring and improvement initiatives
    • Accurate record-keeping
    • Collaborate with the technical department for successful trials
    • Participate in design reviews
  • **H&S**
    • Champion H&S policies adherence
    • Identify and address safety improvement opportunities
    • Maintain a safe working environment
    • Report any safety concerns promptly
    • Ensure proper equipment use and storage
  • **LEAN MANUFACTURING**
    • Adhere to maintenance schedules
    • Support departmental maintenance efforts
    • Ensure products meet specifications
    • Proactively identify improvement areas

Skills & Experience

  • IOSH Working Safely certification
  • BIT level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Adaptive and open to change
  • Background in print industry (preferred)
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (preferred)

Work Pattern: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm
