Description
Base pay range
Electrical Engineer - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) | Edinburgh | £45,000 - £60,000
Design the power systems accelerating the clean energy transition.
At StorTera, we design and deliver advanced commercial‑scale battery energy storage and ultra‑rapid EV charging solutions that help stabilise the grid, unlock renewable generation, and decarbonise energy‑intensive operations.
As we scale our project portfolio, we're looking for an Electrical Engineer to play a key role in taking our BESS projects from concept to commissioning — shaping real infrastructure that will power the future.
If you thrive on complex electrical systems, grid‑connected assets, and seeing your designs come to life in the field, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact.
The Role
You'll be a core technical contributor across the full project lifecycle, leading the electrical design and delivery of commercial and utility‑scale battery energy storage and EV charging projects.
Working closely with software, mechanical, civil, and project teams, you'll ensure StorTera's systems are safe, compliant, efficient, and grid‑ready — from initial design through to commissioning and operational support.
This is a hands‑on role with real ownership, visibility, and technical depth.
