**Are you an experienced FC, who is looking to take on a brand new role within an established company?
Are you well versed in process implementation, and able to take companies to the next level?

If so, REED Accountancy want to hear from you.**We are partnering with a Hereford based company who are looking to recruit a new FC in the new year.

Ideally, you will have experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment.

You will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, development and maintenance of a strong system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets._


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/P and GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support monthend and yearend close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with Government, and HMRC filing and reporting requirements

Key Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Controller
  • 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the monthend/year end close process
  • A track record in understanding, influencing and supporting Operations
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Have a focus on value creation
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Detailoriented, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate personal time management skills.
