Description
St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a positive caring approach to children and their individual needs.
This is a permanent position and the hours are 8.40 am pm, Monday to Friday, term time plus one week.
There may be additional hours required from time to time.We are looking for someone who:
- is hard working;
- can be flexible and creative;
- is able to work effectively as part of a successful team and show initiative;
- has experience of working supporting children in schools;
- has a caring, cheerful and conscientious disposition;
- shows resilience and determination;
- has a good sense of humour;
- you do not need to be a Catholic but be supportive of our Catholic ethos
- work with an individual or small groups of children under the direction of the class teacher, SENDCo and Inclusion team;
- assist in ensuring pupils are kept on task and complete activities set by teachers;
- deal with behavioural issues in conjunction with the class teacher;
- provide feedback to pupils in conjunction with the class teacher;
- assist the class teacher with assessment;
- review progress of pupils;
- prepare and organise resources;
- have a good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices
