Our
Credit Control Team Leader will provide crucial support to the Finance Team by being responsible for a team of Credit Controllers, reporting debt levels and charges for a portfolio of sites under our management - as well as reviewing accounts and keeping the system up to date

What will you do?

  • Deliver a first class service to the Property Management team, Finance team and our customers/tenants being the main point of escalation for our team of Credit Controllers
  • Organise the credit controller team to ensure they are in place to deliver a high standard of performance and that resources are efficiently utilised.
  • Monitor and review aged debt for each business unit with a view to maximising cash collections whilst driving down aged debt.
  • To be responsible for the billing and collection of rent and service charges (Including Ground Rent & Insurance) to leaseholders and tenants in accordance with the lease provisions for each property and within ARMA-Q or RICS guidelines.
  • Managing, motivating and development of a team of 5 FTE.
  • Developing and enhancing existing processes, controls and system use.
  • Provide clear information to finance and wider business management teams to highlight issues and to flag trends and performance particular focus on KPI reporting.
  • Monitor and drive timely dispute resolution to maximise cash flow and minimise customer queries.
  • To ensure a firstclass service to the property team, Finance team and our tenants being the escalation point of contact for all AR queries.
  • Setting and facilitating the achievement of department targets and objectives.
  • Developing, implementing, and improving, policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the Transactional Finance Manager and Finance Director with adhoc tasks as and when they arise

What we are looking for?

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of working as a team leader of a finance team
  • Experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to communicate financial information in a simple, understandable format (written and verbally)
  • Ability to work within a broad finance team and consider cross team impacts of new processes
  • Knowledge of general accounting software
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Positive attitude to Change and embraces new ideas and ways of working

Desirable

  • AAT (or willingness to work towards)
