We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dispensing Assistant to join our team in East Kilbride.


The Role
The Dispensing Assistant will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operation of Target Pharmacy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Dispenses prescription medication and other and other medical products to patients under the direction of the pharmacist.
  • Performs administrative duties such as processing prescriptions, answering the phone, taking payments and restocking pharmacy.
  • Organises and maintains records of patient information in electronic format.
  • Prepares billing and shipping information for medications.
  • Review formulation reports for approval by the Formulation Pharmacist.
  • Create formulation reports using the templates on the OMS for review by the Formulation Pharmacist.

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Have completed or be undertaking dispensing assistant training.
  • Good literacy, written and numerical skills.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Strong customer services skills and excellent communications.
  • Follows instructions well.
  • Excellent memorisation skills.
