Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Myos House, Extra Care Housing for People living with Dementia on a casual basis.

Our aim is to ensure that a person can remain at home, feel confident and is safe to live as independently as possible.

We work in partnership with other social care and health professionals to prevent care needs from escalating and works to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital and care homes.

Myos House 'helps people do things for themselves' rather than 'doing it for them' through support programmes that enables people to optimise their daily living skills and wellbeing.

The role will involve working with individuals and their circle of support to maintain their confidence and continue living well with Dementia - based on their abilities and strengths and those of their family and community.

We also provide crisis support 24/7, 365 ensuring the safety and well being of vulnerable adults living within Myos House.

You will need to be solution focussed, have the ability to motivate others, have excellent decision making and interpersonal skills and be able to work autonomously in complex situations.

Post holders will be expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their post and may be asked to perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility including direct personal care.
