Payroll & Finance Assistant
An excellent opportunity has arisen that would suit an ambitious individual wishing to gain further experience and development in a well-established finance and payroll function.
Reporting to an experienced Finance Business Partner and closely working with our Finance Director, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow under their guidance.
As you will be providing invaluable support to the finance function, specifically with the accountability for running a monthly payroll of c160 employees, it is essential that you have:- payroll experience including weekly timesheet reconciliation, SSP/SMP/SPP calculations.
- experience of general finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliation etc.
- used Sage (payroll).
- proficiency in using MS Excel and Word.
- Self motivated.
- used the Mitre Finch systems (HR, TMS, Flexipay)
- CIMA/AAT part qualification.
This exciting role will cover day-to-day payroll and finance duties, but also provides you with the opportunity to be involved in an exciting project to change the Payroll and HR system.
We are also part of the BSW Group, the UK's largest forestry and timber business and member of Binderholz, Europe's largest timber processor.
