Construction company is looking for aConstruction Project Admin Assistant to join our small team.
This is an excellent opportunity, it is an exciting time to join the team as we are expanding We are small family business specialise in the commercial and residential refurbishments.
It is a fast-paced environment which is constantly developing and expanding. We run several projects in central LondonPrimary Role Purpose:
To assist Project Manager and project Administrator with the smooth running of projects
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of the project support team, you will be responsible for:
Office-based PM support:
- Supporting PM's with providing accurate and timely information to the estimating team for quoting, progress meeting, at times ordering of materials under instruction of PM's; updating job files and project progress reports; keeping all project spreadsheets and documents accurate and up to date; manage the daytoday queries that arise from customers, contractors, subcontractors and colleagues relating to specific projects;
Providing excellent customer service at all times; presenting a positive reflection of the Company at all times; maintaining and servicing relationships with existing customers and suppliers; communicating with customers effectively, ensuring all correspondence is consistent, accurate, professional and timely; responding to and resolving problems quickly and efficiently
Site-based PM Support - At times accompanying the Project Managers to site to assist with meetings and other requirements and assisting with producing detailed specifications
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Common sense and logic thinking is necessary
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Commitment to work within the construction environment
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high quality work
- Experience of working successfully as part of a team
- Selfmotivation to work independently using initiative and autonomy and be proactive in managing their time and organising their workload
- A professional telephone manner and great communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement with a strong attention to details
- Ability to successfully prioritise a busy workload and work under tight time pressures
- Polish language would be an advantage as most of the foreman on sites speak this language
- Valid full driving licence would be advantageous too
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience - start with £21 p.a with other benefits as private insurance, pension, discounted Nuffield Health Centres etc, training and progression opportunities
Our office is based in Old Hatfield, but very close to the train station with direct connection to London. At times you will be required to attend meetings on sites at various locations in London
