Owing to a continued period of growth we are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join our Finance Team.

Fireplace Warehouse Ltd are a fast paced and rapidly growing online retailer specialising in woodburning stoves and fireplaces.

We are looking for a talented individual who are looking to make or further a career in a dynamic environment.

• Full ownership of the sales ledger for 3 group companies, ensuring all sales are imported daily.
• Credits notes and refunds raised in a timely manner and communicated to customers.
• Customer receipts allocated from a variety of payment gateways.
• Request payments from 3rd party finance options.
• Overdue balances collected within terms.

At certain times during the year, the following tasks will be required.

• Processing purchase invoices, checking against purchase orders and customer orders before approving them for payment.
• Reconciling supplier accounts, resolving queries and settling disputes.

It is therefore essential that the applicant is diligent and has a high attention to detail.


Attributes and Skills

• Previous experience with credit control
• Previous experience with Sage 200 is desirable
• Excel knowledge
• Knowledge of Microsoft products and OneDrive
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Have an excellent attention to detail
• Be able to work accurately and calmly, and show resilience, when under pressure

Salary is £24,000 - £28,000 per annum dependant of skills and experience.

Hours of work are based around 08:00 - 16:30 in Stockport.
