At Supported Living Service Ltd we understand that Service Users' recovery journeys progress at different paces and Service Users need different levels of support along the way.

We provide a range of care packages to help Service Users bridge the move from hospitals or residential care home recovery setting to living independently in their own homes.

We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual who is committed to support the business.

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Income Officer in East London.


Salary:
£23,000 - £25,000 per annum

Location:
East London

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and administration of rent, service charge, building expenses accounts on the Housing Management System
  • Managing Arrears Process from start to finish
  • Working with senior team members to resolve income collection issues
  • Assisting in the creation of rent and service charges
  • Ensuring new Housing Benefit/Universal Credit claims are completed and tracking progress
  • Engaging with Local Authority Housing Benefit Departments after claims are suspended or cancelled
  • Liaising with residents regarding payment of rent where the person is not eligible for Housing Benefit
  • Be the first point of contact for Housing Benefit and Rent account related enquiries
  • Dealing with Housing Benefit overpayment invoices
  • General office duties (scanning of documents, answering calls etc.)
  • Assisting in annual rent increase project work
  • Inspecting and monitoring of damages and recovery of damage cost
  • Monitor building expenses and report to Business Team/Director
  • Undertake tasks and project work as required by the Business Team/Director.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with all enquiries and tenants queries
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and to adapt and respond to change
  • IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office packages confidently
  • Positive and Can Do attitude

  • Experience in using Housing Management and rent accounting software
