We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operator to play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our plant machinery.

Reporting to the Maintenance Tema leader.

As a Maintenance Operator at Fiberight, your responsibilities include the maintenance and operation of plant machinery. Your tasks will include.

  • Assembling, Installing and maintaining plan, machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventive maintenance
  • Reading interpreting and following SOPS and technical drawings
  • Improving operational performance of machines
  • Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
  • Attendance to machine and plant breakdown and perform immediate repair or remedial work.
  • Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as required.
  • Operating a variety of hand and power tools
  • Testing and fault finding of control systems.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Complying with Health and Safety Regulations
  • Performing general maintenance work on building infrastructure as assigned

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining equipment and machinery by carrying out PPM and Breakdowns.
  • Problem solving and fault finding on mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out install and repairs.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Strong electrical background
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Fault finding and installation works.

You will be expected but not limited to the following tasks.

Visual inspections:
Conduct visual checks on operational machinery to identify any signs of wear, damage, or issues.


Parts Sourcing:
Source and procure necessary parts for repairs and maintenance tasks.


Fault Finding:
Fault finding in electrical panelling


Electrical Installation:
Installation of industrial cabling and glanding


Pump & Motor Maintenance:
maintenance of pumps and Motors


Safe Plant Isolation:
Carry out LOTOTO when required by plant supervisor.


Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient work

environment.


Installation or Upgrade:
install new equipment or retro fit parts where required


Attendance to Meeting and shift handover: Attend a shift handover to and filling in of daily records and test reports. When required attend morning meetings


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in maintenance operations, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Good communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills are beneficial.

Expected Objectives:


  • Efficient maintenance operations and support for equipment.
  • Safe and compliant LOTOTO electrical isolations.
  • Timely addressing of equipment issues and repairs.
  • Effective communication with the Shift Supervisor and team members.
  • Regular visual checks for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
  • Proper procurement and sourcing of parts for maintenance tasks.

Working Pattern (Day Shift) 7am - 7pm

(Night Shift) 7pm-7am

Shift Pattern - Panama Shift Pattern

£37,000.00 Basic + 20% shift allowance.


Salary:
From £37,000.00 per year
