TRANSPORT PLANNER
Nouvo Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Transport Planner for our client who are international leaders in freight management

You will be expected to organize, plan, and manage transport movements with the Company carrier base to meet customer requirements within agreed budgeted costs and agreed timescales.

Review outstanding orders on the transport management system.
Plan daily vehicle movements, consolidating orders where possible to increase vehicle fill and reduce empty mileage.
Ensure that all vehicle movements are planned to use the most costeffective routes to optimize costs.
Arrange collection/delivery times and obtain booking references as required.
Ensure all details are entered into the transport management system.
Produce, complete, and distribute daily Trunk Schedule.
Produce and complete Delivery Schedule.
Manage daily issues and escalate if appropriate.
Assist the team with other duties where necessary and any additional tasks allocated by the Operations Team Leader.
Provide quality operational data and KPI's
Support the Operations Team in with other relevant duties when required.
