Get to Know the Team


Merchant Engagement is part of the Merchant Operations team, looking into building effective communications and programs to engage Grab merchant partners in Indonesia.

We work with different teams and stakeholders across Grab (including GrabFood and GrabMart), and city operation teams to understand merchants' needs and interests; translating those into useful programs that can be implemented through different channels (e.g.

social media, trainings, messaging, events/webinars, online communities)


Get to Know the Role

The Day-to-Day Activities:

Daily responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and developing merchant-centric social media campaigns that align with business needs and OKRs
  • Creating consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
  • Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.
  • Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, and Emplifi to monitor and evaluate the company's social media presence and performance.
  • Working with stakeholders across several internal teams to ideate, recommend, and implement social media campaigns and amplifications that support business goals.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports on social media for internal business reviews

The Must-Haves:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of social media experience including developing social media strategies, planning and managing content in a corporate, or agency setting.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines effectively by prioritizing tasks.
  • Understanding of graphic design principles.
  • Ability to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Possesses a strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently, navigate ambiguities and problemsolve in a logical manner.
  • Keen interest to work in a fastpaced, demanding environment.
