Home and Neighbourhoods has an ambitious improvement programme currently underway across the service.

The programme has built on our service vision and service excellence principles, and consists of three main workstreams:


  • Strengthening assurance,
  • Process redesign, and,
  • Culture change.


These workstreams are underpinned by activities across data, technology and engagement and we are focused on being tenant centred, whilst identifying opportunities to become more efficient within our processes.

We currently have a 4-year IT roadmap focusing on system replacement, including:

  • Housing Management IT system replacement,
  • Repairs IT system replacement (approx , and,
  • Asset Management IT system replacement (approx


One of the key enablers to meeting our programme objectives is the implementation of a new Housing Management IT System - Cx.

The Cx implementation project was initiated in 2020 and is scheduled for implementation at the end of this year


The Project Assistant role will be fully focused on the procurement and implementation of the replacement systems identified in our IT roadmap, beginning with Cx.


  • Selfsufficient, organised and motivated
  • Able to accurately record and document decisions, risks and issues and be able to escalate these accordingly.
  • Used to working in a fastpaced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Flexible and keen to grow their knowledge further.
  • Have an understanding of how to put in place robust processes and systems, along with knowledge of how to interpret and implement policy
  • Happy working with customers and providers both inside and outside the Council and will strive to provide excellent service.
  • Focused on creating positive outcomes.
Some knowledge of social housing would be desirable.
