Description

Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region.

We are working in partnership with Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind to deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.


Main duties of the job
This position may require flexible hours between 8am until 8pm on weekdays.

You must have full right to work in the UK, as we are currently unable to offer working visa opportunities.

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To support the Referral to Treatment process within Impact on Teesside

  • To liaise with the Referral and Assessment Coordinator to ensure effective operation of the Referral to Treatment Care Pathway.
  • To support the operation of the Duty system within the Assessment & Duty Hub. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, creating, and maintaining rotas, facilitating duty team meetings, and providing weekly updates to the duty team and monitor assessment appointment utilisation.
  • To lead on Morning Meetings within the Duty hub including multiagency meetings
  • To offer advice and guidance on Clinical Risk Management including the development of robust Risk Management plans
  • To offer advice and guidance on Safeguarding (both CYP and Vulnerable Adults) and to act as Designated Safeguarding Officer
  • To support the Duty Team with decisions about appropriate treatment pathways or onward referral to other agencies or services
  • To assist in monitoring waiting lists for assessment and treatment and liaise with Pathway Leads and others to ensure timely transition between referral and treatment.
  • To work with Locality Managers and the Performance & Development Lead to continually review, develop, and improve all systems, processes, and guidance within this service area.
  • To ensure all workers within this area are appropriately trained. To provide ongoing support and training for this team to ensure continuous improvement and a highquality service.

To work as a member of the Impact on Teesside team

  • To create and maintain effective working relationships within the Impact team and elsewhere.
  • To offer advice and support to members of the wider Impact Team, including GPs and other Health Professionals
  • To liaise effectively with Secondary Care and voluntary sector organisations and services
  • To attend meetings and provide reports as required.
  • To assist in the development and promotion of the service

To provide a range of therapeutic interventions

  • To provide assessment, including risk assessment, of clients referred for psychological therapy within the Primary Care setting.
  • To make appropriate onward referrals following assessment for clients requiring other services, including statutory and voluntary agencies
  • To maintain clients confidentiality within agreed guidelines

To provide a professional and ethical service

  • To maintain appropriate records including all required assessment and evaluation tools
  • To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development activities both as required for the purposes of continued professional accreditation or registration.
  • To operate within agreed NHS, Impact and professional guidelines and Codes of Practice
  • To ensure a safe and secure working environment for self and others and to act as necessary within Health and Safety and other guidelines.
  • To adhere to all Impact Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
  • To promote and value the rights, responsibilities and diversity of people using the Service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Evidence using the career framework of training in mental health and experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Good record of Continuing Professional
