Join this global Law firm's in-house Global Procurement function as a Category Specialist for Technology and Data in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships, deliver strategic value and introduce best practices in processes and procedures.

As a Category Specialist, you will have the chance to make a real impact by supporting and influencing strategic and commercial decisions related to IT categories/projects.


_ Role Responsibilities:
_


  • Managing & executing procurement projects; both supporting and influencing strategic & commercial decisions related to various categories/projects.
  • Stakeholder and Supplier Management related to the category both during the procurement and service delivery stage.
  • Take ownership of categories / individual projects as required.
  • Draft and assess contracts, understanding key risks for different goods / services.
  • Ensure compliance to sourcing and contract management processes and professional ethics.
  • Manage supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with service areas/functions to manage performance and relationships with suppliers.

_Experience Needed:
_


  • To have proven specialist experience within Indirect Procurement with the ability to work across multiple subcategories within Technology i.e., Software, Telecoms, and IT Professional Services.
  • Clear experience of managing endtoend procurement and supplier management, and a notable level of procurement delivery, including RFx, market analysis, supplier management, and oversight.
  • Demonstrate excellent levels of written and verbal communication, with strong influencing skills and the ability to build solid and lasting working relationships.
  • Proven experience of utilising and managing procurement systems and tools, strong analytical experience, and the ability to understand and interpret information.
  • A CIPS qualification or working towards qualification is desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
