Are you on the hunt for a dynamic role within a leading London university's business school? Are you adept at juggling a variety of administrative tasks with ease? Signature Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a distinguished London university in their search for a Departmental Support Officer.

This temporary, full-time, hybrid role runs until the end of May. The position offers a hybrid working model, with the team typically on-site on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.


In this role as Departmental Support Officer, you'll deliver efficient and proactive services to the Heads of Group and their members.

You'll serve as the first point of contact for the department, managing meeting room bookings, catering, travel arrangements, and supporting event planning.

Your responsibilities will also include direct engagement with both students and staff, inbox management, and keeping abreast of the latest policies and procedures.


Departmental Support Officer Key Responsibilities:


  • Organising and coordinating logistics for room bookings, catering, and travel arrangements.
  • Providing support to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Heads of Departments, and the events team.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students and staff, both online and in person.
  • Managing departmental inboxes and staying updated with university policies and procedures.
  • Supporting Vice Deans of Education and Research and assisting Heads of Group in managing internal and external relationships.

Departmental Support Officer Essential Skills:


  • The ability to work effectively within a busy team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, peopleoriented approach.
  • Proficiency in managing administrative tasks and coordinating events.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
