The Opportunity:

Do you speak fluent Japanese with great English too?

We currently have a great opportunity for a fully remote
Gaming Moderator (Japanese) to provide core services on one of our biggest gaming brands

What You'll Do:


As a
Gaming Moderator you will
protect our client's brand and make sure their reputation is kept safe at all times; in this position, you are the key in
providing a positive gaming experience for all users, while being aware of any potential issues on the gaming platform.


As a core part of the opportunity, you will be
reviewing strong graphic images, sound files and written content that may violate the guidelines of the community.



  • Moderating in accordance with The Social Element guidelines and clientspecific guidelines.
  • Carrying out moderation and training accordingly to the times scheduled in the project schedule
  • Escalating usergenerated content that falls within the official escalation processes (eg child safety, bomb threats)
  • Offering support to other moderators who need assistance as well as mentoring new moderators and supporting them
  • Complete shift reports using templates provided according to individual project requirements
  • Informing Project Managers of any technical or other issues with sites or content and providing feedback on any client issues

Working Hours:

Must be available
both weekend days

Late afternoon availability is desired (
4pm to 12am GMT)

Total amount of hours will be approx 1
5 to 20 per week.

Requirements:


Excellent Japanese and English level:
As you'll be moderating content in both languages, it's a must to have superb reading skills.

‍‍
Background experience:

either engagement, social customer care, localisation, translation, copywriting, moderation, and/or community management, either with a brand or digital agency.


Social Media knowledge:
Experience in using either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn and/or YouTube.

A confidence with digital technology:
you know the latest trends in social media like the back of your hand.


A self-motivated gaming expert who is comfortable working remotely.


If you have any experience working in the gaming industry and in moderating content that would be amazing

IT Policy:

We operate a
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Policy which means to carry out this work, your PC will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Operating system Windows 10 64bits or higher / MAC OS X version 12 (Monterey) or higher. We do not support Windows 8 or older / MacOS Big Sur or older.
- i5 8th generation or faster 64-bit (x64) processor

  • At least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended)
  • Internet speed is 20Mbps download / 1Mbps upload (50Mbps download / 5Mbps upload is recommended)
  • 40 GB available HDD (SSD recommended)
  • A Webcam and headset
  • Android or iOS device for 2FA
  • Please Note:_ It is essential to have all IT requirements to qualify for the process and IT policy.
