Industria Personnel are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a CNC Milling Machinist - Prorammer/Setter
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Milling Setter / Operator, to join their team based in Hinckley, working closely with their highly skilled Machine Shop workforce.
The main duties will include:
- Understand technical drawings and work instructions and machine in accordance
- Measure parts and make calculations required for machining
- Programme/ set and operate CNC milling machines working to high tolerances of + or mm general machining limits
- Create and edit machine programmes on 4 axis hass milling machine using Fanuc control
- Carry out inspection, including firstoff inspection using gauges and measuring instruments
- Solve and identify problems with setups, make changes to fixture or create new fixture elements (clamps/ location features)
- Meet production targets across multiple machines
- Follow all procedures regarding job tracking and program transferring
- Update and analyse shop floor data
- Identify issues and implement improvements to production method
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping including safe working practice.
Mon-Thursday 07:00-15:30 Friday 07:00-12:30, overtime is available
Salary:
The base salary offering for this position is IRO £31,000 to £35,000 per annum (£16 - £17.95 per hour) depending on experience and background.
- Advanced and hand on ability to competently set and operate CNC milling machines
- Basic ability to edit programmes and offset
- Experience with Aerospace work is required (2 years +)
- Minimum of 5 years milling experience is preferred
- Offline CAD/CAM programming is preferred but not required
- Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
- Full comprehension of engineering drawings
- Excellent knowledge of inspection techniques
