Salary:
£60-75k depending on experience We are currently recruiting for a growing software company who are market leaders in providing intelligent and innovative solutions within their industry. Solutions that are not only user focused, but responsive to changes in the industry. The result isa platform as a service that is dedicated to maximising the efficiencies of work-flow processes and management. We are looking to further enhance their growing IT team by expanding the network and infrastructure support team. The role is an interesting opportunityfor somebody with the background required to enhance and expand their knowledge. They are in the process of a major transformation into the CLOUD and looking for highly motivated individuals to complement the other team areas. We are open to home working andsome reasonably flexibility in the working hours. A great opportunity to make recommendations and directions in providing world class support and direction in the network and monitoring cloud environments.

Role

As an Infrastructure / Support engineer you will play an important role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving internal and external Infrastructure.

This includes designing, building, automating and deploying scalable and secure public cloudinfrastructure and the support / maintenance of the On-premises environment, including VM Farm, MS Active Directory, Azure AD and Office 365 services


Key responsibilities:


  • 3rd Line Support, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Exchange, Virtualisation, Networking technologies
  • Resolve high level technical issues through technical escalation
  • Design and implementation of scalable, secure and fault tolerant cloud platforms in AZURE and AWS.
  • Maintain and build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules
  • The use of cloudbased infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Collaborate with agile development teams to ensure the cloud infrastructure meets their needs
  • Design and implement/adoption innovative solutions in line with their multicloud strategy
  • Experience supporting AZURE/AWS environments and MS Servers and related technologies including Exchange / AD etc
  • 3rd line support experience of Office 365, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Experience supporting Firewall (WAF) / Switches / VPN's / Network troubleshooting
  • Experience with SAN and Hyper-Converged Infrastructures
  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts (network, storage, OS, virtualisation, containerisation)
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes / DevOps
  • Experience in declarative "infrastructure as code" scripting language
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in working across an Infrastructure support role at a senior level
