Transport Supervisor

Bedford, MK41 0LZ

40 hours per week. Working 8 hours per day, predominantly working from 5am until 1pm on a Monday to Friday basis, however flexibility required to work outside of these times to suit business needs.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will be responsible for morning dispatch and daily driver debriefs:

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers.
Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews.
To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.

Experience and Key Attributes:

Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network.
Experience within transport compliance.
Customer Service.
IT literate.
Manual Handling.
IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.
